Team roles & game plan
Who covers which job, where two Pokémon double up on the same one, and where the team's plan fights itself (Trick Room next to fast attackers, two weathers that cancel, an ability with nothing to enable it).
Fill the gaps
Deterministic shortlist — ranked by how many of your team's unmet mechanical needs each pick closes (a threat nothing on the team answers, a shared weakness, a missing role like speed control or redirection). Offense is STAB + the pick's modal coverage, so true gems with no usage sample are scored conservatively. This is a coverage/role fit — not a bulk check, so judge survivability yourself.
Meta threats that hit you super-effectively
| # | Threat | Type | Spe* | Hits you via | Your SE answer |

Spe* = the threat's Speed at Jolly/Timid max (its realistic fast set). Raw speed only — Tailwind, Trick Room, Scarf and priority are not modeled here. “None” means no super-effective move type; you may still win the matchup via bulk, speed control or disruption — but know how, explicitly. Damage lines assume the threat at full offensive investment (+nature), no items or screens, into the worst-hit of your members with your real spread.
Shared defensive weaknesses
Attacking types that hit two or more of your team super-effectively are where opponents will aim double-targets and spread moves.
Speed tiers vs the meta
Your team's actual speeds (from your spreads and natures) against the top meta threats at their fastest common investment.
How much Speed to beat a threat?
Pick one of your Pokémon and a target: the exact Speed points to outrun it, whether your current spread already does, and whether it flips under Tailwind or a Choice Scarf.
What does it take? — bulk & KO benchmarks
The spread solver, run on the same exact damage engine as the table above: the minimum HP/defense investment for one of your Pokémon to always survive a threat's flagged hit — or the minimum attack investment to guarantee a KO back.
