1. What this is

TheoryChamp (the "Service") is an unofficial, fan-made theorycrafting tool for Pokémon Champions VGC. It helps you build and analyze doubles teams. The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or Game Freak. "Pokémon" and all related names are trademarks of their respective owners.

2. Suggestions are a starting point

Team builds and chat answers are generated automatically. They are verified for in-format legality by our validation gate, but they are suggestions, not guarantees of competitive success, optimality, or any tournament result. Use your own judgment.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google or Discord. You're responsible for activity under your account. Don't abuse the Service — including farming free credits through many fake accounts, attempting to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service, or using it unlawfully. We may suspend accounts that do. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service; if you are under 18, you may only purchase credits with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

4. Credits and payment

Some features run on prepaid build credits. New accounts may receive a small number of free credits (subject to abuse limits). Additional credits are sold in packs and paid for through Stripe; we never handle your card details.

Refunds: Unused build credits may be refunded on request within 7 days of purchase. Once a credit has been used, it is non-refundable, since each use triggers a paid generation on our side. This does not affect any refund rights you may have under applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or overload/attack the infrastructure. We may change, limit, or discontinue features at any time.

6. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its suggestions will achieve any particular result.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York. Questions: contact [at] theorychamp [dot] com.
